The cross symbolises a crossroads, as a meeting point for young people with Jesus.

Within the word ‘YOUTH’ is the scallop shell of St James, an image that will accompany them and show them the way to follow.

In the background is the silhouette of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, as a goal and symbol of the Father’s arrival, which will welcome and comfort them after a long path, not only physical but also spiritual.

The spatters add a touch of fresh air, youthful and modern, which makes the Church more approachable to youth, scattered like drops of paint.

The artist who created the logo is Antonio Jesús Marcos, winner of the contest for the PEJ21 logo.
